Apple-Filled Oatmeal Cookies

Prepare Apple Filling. Combine flour, baking powder, spices, and
salt. Beat butter for 30 seconds. Add brown sugar and beat until
fluffy. Add egg, beating well. Add dry ingredients and milk
alternately, beating after each addition. Stir in oats. Drop by
teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet. Make a depression in the center
of each cookie, and fill with 1 tsp of Apple Filling. Bake at 375 for
10 to 12 minutes.
Apple Filling
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Cook and stir until thick and
apples are tender.
