RANGER COOKIES 1 1/4 c all-purpose flour 1/2 c packed brown sugar 1/2 tsp baking powder 1 egg 1/2 tsp baking soda 1 tsp vanilla 1/4 tsp salt 2 cups Rice Krispies 1/2 c butter or margarine 3 1/2 oz flaked coconut 1/2 c sugar 1 c chopped pitted dates or raisins Stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In a mixer bowl, beat butter for 30 seconds. Add sugars and beat until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla, beating well. Add dry ingredients to beaten mixture, beating until well combined. Stir in cereal, coconut, and fruit. Drop by teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool about 1 minute before removing to wire rack.
